The History of the Jupiter Hills Golf Club

This particular golf club was opened in the year 1969. This golf course project is still to this day considered the best work of the architect George Fazio. His job was later on continued by Tom Fazio, his nephew, that restored Jupiter Hills to their first, original design. Even after he retired, George stayed close to this location and tried to constantly evolve the landscape surrounding the club to his desires.

The Fazio family wasn’t the only one behind the Jupiter Hills Golf Club creation. William Ford and Bob Hope were two of the people that really believed in the need for a great golf course around the southeast region of Florida.

The first course design was named the Hills layout and was followed by a remodeled Village course that was finished around the year 1978.

In November of 2020, The Jupiter Hills Club was reopened after undergoing some minor changes and updates to the golf course.

Facilities

Jupiter Hills Golf ClubhouseYou will find a 36-hole golf course inside The Jupiter Hills Golf Club.

As a member or the guest of a member, you will have access to a lot of amenities, including locker rooms. The club’s staff team encourages people to enjoy all of their amenities and features. Difficulty Rating

The golf course from the Jupiter Hills Golf club is known to have a difficulty rating of 70, and a yardage of 7344. This isn’t very different from what you’d find on most golf courses, but there is a feature that makes it stand out: The difference between the highest and the lowest points of the course is roughly 60 feet. It will almost feel like a new terrain when you compare it to Florida’s averagely flat surface.

Members of the club state that among the most difficult holes of the course are the 8th, 9th, 13th, and 17th. Older members remember when the course features some bush hazards that would be a real problem for players that sent the balls in the wrong direction. This has been fixed in time and the bushes have been replaced with “sandscapes”, to offer a better view of the overall scenery. Sandscapes are also a challenge for golfers, especially the newbie ones.
